Lipman – the largest field tomato grower in North America, based in Immokalee – has hired Hernan Parra to serve as chief human resources officer.

In this newly created position, Parra will oversee all aspects of Lipman’s employee development programs, while carrying out the company’s vision to be North America’s dependable source of fresh tomatoes.

A 23-year veteran of the agricultural and produce industry, Parra started his career at Aborganic in Bogota, Colombia. He most recently served as the human resources director for B&W Quality Growers, Inc. Information: www.sixls.com.

Naples-based Conditioned Air, which specializes in light commercial and residential heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, was named the 2011 Business Ethics Award recipient from Uncommon Friends. The annual award is presented to a Southwest Florida business that exemplifies the highest standards of ethical behavior with a system-wide commitment to business ethics.

The Florida Retail Federation has named Norman Love, owner of Norman Love Confections in Fort Myers and Naples, as a 2011 recipient of the Retailer of the Year Award for Leadership. Love will be honored and receive the award at a luncheon on June 23 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando.

The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP has announced that three of its Naples-based partners have been named in the 2011 issue of Florida Super Lawyers magazine as among the top 5 percent of attorneys in Florida.

Additionally, six Naples-based Quarles & Brady attorneys were named by Florida Super Lawyers & Rising Stars as among the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state for 2011. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state receive this honor.

Iberiabank, a subsidiary of Iberiabank Corp., has announced that David Gordley has joined the company as senior vice president and commercial banking group manager for the Naples market.

Gordley has 19 years of banking experience, most recently as a senior lender with TIB Bank in Naples. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.

Pearl Collier named top salesperson in May at Verandah

Pearl “Gigi” Collier has been named salesperson for May at Verandah, the 1,456-acre master-planned community along a 1.75-mile stretch of the Orange River in Fort Myers.

This is Collier’s third consecutive recognition. She has been a top producer in the industry since receiving her real estate license in 1989.
