Police and Fire Log: Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010

The following was compiled from information prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 463-6205.

DUI ARREST -- Robert Elliott, 44, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 200 block of South Dora Street at 12:09 a.m. Sunday.

DUI ARREST -- Sarah Ryan, 32, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on northbound Highway 101 at River Road at 1:48 a.m. Sunday.

KIDS SHARING SEATBELT -- Caller on Elm Street reported at 2:27 p.m. Sunday that she saw two toddlers sharing a seatbelt in the front seat of a blue Toyota Corolla driven by a woman.

WOMAN WITH NO PANTS -- Caller on East Gobbi Street reported at 4:36 p.m. Sunday that a woman is causing a disturbance near the railroad tracks. Only description provided was that she was not wearing pants. An officer was unable to locate the woman.

PANHANDLER IN DRIVE-THRU -- Caller from Jack-In-The-Box on Airport Park Boulevard reported at 8:28 p.m. Sunday that a man in a blue jacket is intoxicated and asking people for money. An officer responded and asked the man, whom he noted was not drunk, to leave.

SLEEPING IN THE POST OFFICE -- Caller at 9:57 p.m. Sunday reports that a man is sleeping in the U.S. Post Office on North Oak Street. An office responded and asked the man to leave.

NEIGHBOR MAKING HER SICK -- Woman in the 1200 block of Marwen Drive reported at 10:45 a.m. Monday that her neighbor keeps spraying something

over into her yard that is making her sick. An officer responded and did not find any harmful chemicals.

DRUNKS AT BASKIN-ROBBINS -- Caller from Baskin-Robbins on East Perkins Street reported at 12:45 p.m. Monday that two drunk men are harassing customers as they walk by, and one of them is harassing drivers. An officer responded and arrested a 54-year-old Fort Bragg man on suspicion of being drunk in public.

DRUNK AT BIG FIVE -- Caller from Big Five Sporting Goods on East Perkins Street reported at 1:24 p.m. Monday that a man is harassing customers. An officer responded and arrested a 55-year-old Santa Rosa man on suspicion of being drunk in public.

TRANSIENTS TRADING RECEIPTS -- Caller from Jack-In-The-Box on Airport Park Boulevard reported at 6:38 p.m. Monday that a transient purchased food, then gave the receipt to another man who came in and claimed he never received his food. Second man was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. An officer responded and the man left upon request.

DRUNKS IN THE DRIVE-THRU -- Caller from Jack-In-The-Box on Airport Park Boulevard reported at 7:42 p.m. Monday that a drunk man is yelling at customers in the drive-thru. An officer responded and arrested a 27-year-old Fort Bragg man on suspicion of being drunk in public.

DRUNK AT THE COUNTER -- Caller from Jack-In-The-Box on Airport Park Boulevard reported at 7:55 p.m. Monday that a drunk man is causing a disturbance at the counter. An officer responded and arrested a 40-year-old Missouri man on suspicion of being drunk in public, along with a 36-year-old man on the same charge.

YET ANOTHER DRUNK -- Caller from Jack-In-The-Box on Airport Park Boulevard reported at 8:11 p.m. Monday that a drunk man arrested previously is back, causing a disturbance again.

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office:

BOOKED -- Mark Joseph Herbert, 49, of Willits, was booked at the county jail Friday at 2:22 p.m. on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale, cultivating marijuana, violating his probation, driving with a suspended license and transporting marijuana. The MCSO arrested him.

BOOKED -- Richard Barry Nellis, 53, of Fort Bragg, was booked at the county jail Friday at 7:55 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree burglary and disorderly conduct. The Fort Bragg Police Department arrested him.

BOOKED -- Curtis Earl Peters, 25, of Spokane, Wash., was booked at the county jail Saturday at 10:24 a.m. on suspicion of cultivating marijuana. Peters turned himself in and was booked by a correctional officer.

BOOKED -- Kenneth Trevor Lawson, 20, of Willits, was booked at the county jail Sunday at 12:29 a.m. on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse. The Willits Police Department arrested him.

BOOKED -- Randolph James Smith, 24, of Willits, was booked at the county jail Sunday at 7:18 a.m. on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse. The MCSO arrested him.

BOOKED -- Darrell Charles Schaper, 27, of Laytonville, was booked at the county jail Sunday at 7:08 p.m. on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale, transporting marijuana and conspiracy. The MCSO arrested him.

BOOKED -- Todd Stephen Weatherhead, 28, of Laytonville, was booked at the county jail Sunday at 7:13 p.m. on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale, transporting marijuana and conspiracy. The MCSO arrested him.

BOOKED -- Adolfo Cardoza Cuevas, 44, of Ukiah, was booked at the county jail Monday at 1:25 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than the legal limit and driving with a suspended license. The Ukiah Police Department arrested him.

BOOKED -- Glenn Hughes, 51, of Ogden, Utah, was booked at the county jail Monday at 1:38 a.m. on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse. The UPD arrested him.

BOOKED -- Audrina Renne Phillips, 39, of Covelo, was booked at the county jail Monday at 8:48 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing injury, and driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than the legal limit and causing injury. The CHP arrested her.

BOOKED -- Donnie James Smith, 49, of Olivehurst, was booked at the county jail Monday at 11:46 p.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than the legal limit. The CHP arrested him.

The following was compiled from reports prepared by the California Highway Patrol.

ARREST -- David Wayne Crawford, 47, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on East Side Calpella Road at Marina Drive Friday at 7:31 p.m.

ARREST -- Zachery Kaleb Garcia, 20, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 8600 block of East Road in Redwood Valley Saturday at 3:09 a.m.

ARREST -- Brady William Baker, 26, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on East Road north of Road E in Redwood Valley Saturday at 10:26 p.m.

ARREST -- Victor Chaydez Beltran, 24, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving without a license on North State Street at Clara Avenue Sunday at 10:40 p.m.

ARREST -- Kyle Wood, no middle name given, 35, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Comptche Ukiah Road east of Highway 1 Monday at 2:59 a.m.

ARREST -- Michael Weston Roberts, 72, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of a warrant for driving under the influence on North State Street at Calpella Monday at 8:55 a.m.

ARREST -- William O'Neill, no middle name given, 38, of Norwalk, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Highway 20 east of James Creek Monday at 5:01 p.m.

Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant: all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
