Hopper`s widow files $45m claim against estate - Monsters and Critics

Dennis Hopper's widow Victoria Duffy has filed a $45 million claim against the star’s estate.

The Hollywood legend, who died in May after losing his battle with prostate cancer, was still involved in a bitter divorce battle at the time of his passing.

The Easy Rider star reportedly penned a new will in January that included only his children and grandchildren.

But legal papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court show Duffy, his fifth wife, will continue to battle for a cut of his assets.

In the documents she asks for money to help her raise the pair's seven-year-old daughter Galen, thousands of dollars in lawyers' fees and a cut of the property owned by Hopper.

Duffy is claiming a loss of earnings totalling $2.3 million while she was married to the star.

She also requests $10 million for alleged defamation during the pair's bitter divorce battle.
